Hope Everyone Had A Great Holiday

I hope everyone had a great holiday and recovered over the weekend. Our extended weekend was pretty boring. Hubby went to his mothers on Thanksgiving and shared a meal with her. We didn't celebrate with a big meal for a variety of reasons; the kids don't eat most of the food, we didn't have the money to spend on a big meal; and our oven doesn't work.
I personally thought about all of the things I give thanks for: My husband, my kids, a roof over our heads, the food in our stomachs, clothes on our backs, and for the family we have left (even if we don't talk much).
This weekend we also coordinated our schedules, we have 2 more appointments for hubby this week. Hopefully we get more information on getting a service dog for hubby. While his little emotional support dog is great, she isn't trained to do anything but help him when he is having an anxiety attack. He has been getting dizzy more and falling down or nearly falling down. He can't really use a wheelchair while he is out on his own. With his neuropathy and his fibromyalgia he can't push himself very far and not up any incline. So we are also going to talk to the doctor about an electric wheelchair for him.
Also coming up this week, I try to figure out my health insurance for next year. My current plan isn't available and due to his VA compensation, there are issues with getting insurance. Healthcare Marketplace doesn't count VA money, but JFS does. So, I get to play tag to get an answer on which insurance I will have. (I don't know all of the changes being made to the "Obamacare" or Medicaid. It is rough when you can't work because you need to take care of family.
