My turn for medical problems

Today isn't about Scott, it's about me. I go to a pain clinic for the pain in my back. I have issues where if I stand for more than a few minutes it feels like someone is stabbing me in the back and I have to sit down. Well, I've had x-rays done, and an MRI and I have Retrolisthesis or Spondylolisthesis with posterior slippage. Basically the opposite of the picture. Instead of slipping forward, it slips backward.

They did injections into the joints and that didn't help, so two weeks ago they did injections into the nerves. They hoped that would help but it didn't. In fact, it seems to have made it worse. Now, I have pain just sitting on the couch. I have to constantly change positions now to aliviate some of the pain. Leaning back, siting up straight, slouching, laying down, leaning to the side; you name it and I need to do it every few minutes. So I went back to the pain clinic for the follow up. They gave me a few options. Try the shots again to see if it will help this time, not likely after they made it worse the last time. Or get a referal to a surgeon. So, I'm going to see a surgeon to see if this is something he can help with. Not really looking forward to surgery on my back but if it helps with the pain, I'll do it. I just want the pain gone.
